Cooper career began in 1999 with a guest role in the television series Sex and the City. He made his film debut two years later in the comedy Wet Hot American Summer. His breakthrough role came in 2009 with The Hangover, a critically and commercially successful comedy, which spawned two sequels in 2011 and 2013.

Cooper found greater success with the romantic comedy Silver Linings Playbook (2012), the black comedy American Hustle (2013), and the war biopic American Sniper (2014).

In 2018, Cooper produced, wrote and directed his first film with the musical romance A Star Is Born, in which he also starred, for which he gained three more Oscar nominations.

Cooper has been nominated for many awards, including seven Academy Awards and a Tony Award, and has won a Grammy Award and a BAFTA Award.

It’s a musical romantic drama film directed by Bradley Cooper. It stars Cooper, Lady Gaga, Dave Chappelle, Andrew Dice Clay, and Sam Elliott, and follows a hard-drinking musician (Cooper) who discovers and falls in love with a young singer Ally Campano (Gaga). It marks the third remake of the original 1937 film, after the 1954 musical and the 1976 musical.

Cooper starred as Jackson “Jack” Maine, an established singer-songwriter and alcoholic. He is Ally’s mentor and husband.
